COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Presentations or seminars on mental health and chemical dependency issues such as stress reduction, understanding issues surrounding suicide, parenting, substance abuse or other issues are available to the community. Presentations and program development is available to schools, community organizations, and interested groups by request. The agency also has a video and film library.
PREVENTION PROGRAMS
A variety of community education and support services are available in Whitman County to raise awareness of chemical dependency issues, family/parenting issues, and to encourage collaborative community building. PRC has joined other community resources to sponsor the Palouse Resource Network for Families with reference materials at our libraries, a community-wide calendar and resource guide listing parenting and family classes and activities. Community Mobilization provides grants to towns for community building projects, education, support groups and activities.
