Providing a Full Continuum of Mental Health & Chemical Dependency Services

A QUALIFIED STAFF
The PRC staff consists of professionals who have expertise in psychology, social work, psychiatry,  chemical dependency, developmental disabilities, childhood and family problems, and geriatrics.  All clinical staff are registered, licensed or certified by the State of Washington.  Our staff also includes a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

CONFIDENTIALITY
All inquiries and services are kept completely confidential except as required by law.  Persons 13 or older may seek services independently of their parent or guardian.

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICIES
PRC provides services to people of all races, ages, nationalities, disabilities, gender, creeds, religions,  marital status, sexual orientation or military status.  Efforts are made to reduce barriers to services by  providing interpreter services, TDD phone services, sign language interpretation, and consultation with ethnic minority, geriatric, disability, and child mental health specialists.  These services are free of charge and provided at no significant delay.  Accessible parking is available across the street at Simpson United Methodist Church.

COST OF SERVICES
Fees are based upon family income and size with adjustable payments available for those who qualify.  We accept most forms of health insurance including Medicaid and Medicare.  Inability to pay will not prevent services from being provided.
CRISIS INTERVENTION & DETOXIFICATION SUPPORT
Mental health professionals provide crisis intervention for individuals, families, or community services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Services include mental health stabilization activities, facilitation of hospitalization, and referrals.  These services may be accessed by calling Palouse River Counseling at (509) 334-1133.

Qualified chemical dependency counselors are available to provide information, consultation, and transitional support for persons admitted to Whitman County hospitals for detoxifications.
