CRISIS SERVICES COUNSELOR
Employment Status: Crisis Counselor(s) Full-time
Supervisor: Mental Health Clinical Director Salary Range: $62,400-$81,811 FLSA Status: Exempt |
Responsibilities include providing weekend behavioral health crisis services from Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. through Sunday until 8:00 p.m. Attend weekly Crisis Services team meetings, agency meetings, supervision, and trainings as required by the agency or as approved by the employer. Timely completion of required clinical and legal documentation.
Qualifications require a Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Science. Washington State Licensure for counselors or social workers is required; experience performing involuntary commitment investigation and evaluation is expected; ability to obtain a DCR designation within three months of hiring is required. Must be able to pass a criminal background check; possess a current valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
Competitive compensation is based on education, skills, and experience and PRC offers a generous comprehensive benefits package and opportunity for continued education and training. All paid holidays are available to this position. Additional on-call shifts will be paid at the crisis services established rates. Overtime is not available for this position.

Mental health Counselor

Palouse River Counseling in Pullman, WA is expanding their Adult Outpatient Team and have two full-time openings for a Mental Health Adult Outpatient clinician. This is a fully benefitted position with a competitive salary.
PRC is seeking candidates who will share our vision, values, and commitment to superior client services. The Successful applicant will be working with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and deliver individual and group counseling to PRC mental health clients.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in a behavioral science. Candidates must be a fully licensed Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor or must be able to be fully licensed within six (6) months of hiring. This is a professional position providing intake evaluations, client counseling, assessments and planning. 3 to 4 paid stabilization shifts per month are expected. Familiarity with CBT/DBT and dual diagnosis is preferred.

A Successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualifications require a minimum Associates Degree in human services or the social sciences - a Bachelor's & Master's Degree preferred.
- Must meet the standards for certification as a Chemical Dependency Professional as defined in Chapter 248-811 WAC.
- Must meet WAC 246-811-049 approved supervision requirements.
- Must have proven experience providing clinical and case management services; minimum two years freedom from drug and alcohol misuse and pass a satisfactory criminal background check.
- Conduct self ethically and professionally at all times.

- Collaborate with Team to advocate for clients to gain access to a wide variety of community resources;
- Development of RNP objectives and long term goals;
- Assist in the development of information and support networks and connect with peers and the community;
- Effective communication, “can do” attitude, and computer literacy are required;
- Additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Must have lived experience with Substance Use Disorder, and/or the Criminal Justice System, and/or Mental health.
- Undergraduate degree. Master’s degree preferred. Academic training in the social services field and/or in the area of substance use disorder treatment is desirable.
- Minimum of two to three years experience in work related to social work or outreach programs;
- Must have one year of active recovery and able to demonstrate it;
- Must have 2 – 3 year’s experience providing services to addicted individuals from a harm reduction perspective is essential;
- Computer knowledge required and ability to remain current with technological change.
- Time management and workflow skills with prioritization of workload required.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, community and PRC teams;
- Able to set boundaries, resolve conflict and de-escalate issues;\
