Mental Health Adult Outpatient Counselor

Palouse River Counseling Center, Pullman, WA, has a full-time opening for a Mental Health Adult Outpatient Counselor.  We are seeking a candidate who will share our vision, values, and commitment to superior client services. This is a career opportunity to work with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to assess, plan and deliver individual and group counseling for residents of Whitman County.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Science. Licensed social worker; or Licensed Mental Health Counselor; or must be able to be licensed as an LMHC, or LICSW or an MHP within 6 months of hiring. This is a professional position providing, as needed, Intake Evaluations, Mental Health Adult Outpatient Client Counseling, Assessment, and Planning. 3-4 on-call crisis stabilization team shifts per month are expected. Familiarity with CBT/DBT and dual diagnosis is preferred. Must be able to work a 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Must pass a satisfactory criminal background check, possess a current, valid driver’s license, and have reliable transportation.

We are an NHSC approved site for the Student Loan Repayment Program.

Weekend Crisis Services Position​

CRISIS SERVICES COUNSELOR – WEEKEND AFTER HOURS POSITION OPENING. 
 
Palouse River Counseling, in Pullman, WA, has an opening for an on-call Weekend Crisis Services Counselor. 
 
Job responsibilities include providing weekend behavioral health crisis services from Friday evening at 4:00 p.m. through Sunday until 8:00 p.m. Attend weekly Crisis Services team meetings, agency meetings, supervision, and trainings as required by the agency or as approved by employer. Timely completion of required clinical and legal documentation. 
 
Qualifications require a Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Science. Washington State licensure for Counselors or social workers is required; experience performing involuntary commitment investigation and evaluation is expected; and ability to obtain a DCR designation within three months of hiring is required. Must be able to pass a criminal background check; possess a current valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.

All paid holidays are available to this position. Additional On-Call shifts will be paid at the crisis services established rates. Overtime is not available to this position.
 
Palouse River Counseling is a non-profit Behavioral Health Agency based in Pullman, WA. It has provided behavioral health services to the Palouse region for over 50 years and has a counseling staff of over 40 professionals who deliver excellent outpatient mental health and chemical dependency counseling services to our clients. We are an NHSC approved site for the Student Loan Repayment Program.
 
Salary: DOQ.
