Palouse River Counseling (PRC) mental health programs are licensed by the state of Washington. Our team of mental health professionals help our clients manage a wide variety of mental health conditions. When necessary, we also offer medication management to supplement our counseling services. PRC offers the following mental health services:
Adult Outpatient Services
These include individual or group therapy that focus on goal-oriented, mutually developed treatment plans. Outpatient therapy is usually 10 sessions or less, but length of service depends on individual needs.
Crisis Intervention
Mental health professionals provide crisis intervention for individuals, families, or community services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Services include mental health stabilization activities, facilitation of hospitalization, and referrals. These services may be accessed by calling us anytime, day or night.
Psychiatric Services
Psychiatric services are available to those clients of Palouse River Counseling who may benefit from psychiatric medications as part of their treatment. We provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment / medication management with a referral from your primary care provider. Our psychiatric care providers are part of the client's treatment team and work collaboratively with our agency's therapists and case managers. Clients receiving psychiatric services must concurrently receive therapy or case management services from our agency. By providing this team approach, we can best evaluate overall mental health and progress toward treatment goals.
Youth Services
Counseling and wrap-around case management is provided to children and their families throughout Whitman County. Case management involves coordinating services with schools, physicians and other social services for the benefit of the child and family. We also offer child and family therapy with our dedicated team of children's counselors. PRC counselors work in a variety of Whitman County schools. They provide assistance to schools regarding childrens' emotional problems, conflict resolution and social skills groups, crisis intervention and counseling to children and families in those communities.
